Educational Impact
Sustainability and long term benefits
Sustainability and lasting impacts have been purposefully implemented within educational engagements. Within literacy workshops schools have been given the digital tools and materials to repeat workshops with pupils. The purchase of books for use within school libraries has often been recomended to give children the ability of continued access to children’s books and the school the ability to repeat learning material with future classes. I have often been given feedback from schools that my published children’s books remain the most popular borrowed book up to and over a year after my first initial visit. This demonstrates the lasting impact of my role within schools.
Organisational collaberations
Amongst my work within educational facilities has been an integration within museums, libraries and festivals. Workshops, events and book signings have been held at Liverpool World Museum, Liverpool Central Library, smithdown social, blackburn house, Camp and Furnace, The University of Liverpool and Liverpool John Moores University as part of Liverpool Arab Arts Festival, BlackFest, Chamelifun, The Scouts Assosiation and independent contracts.
